THE FACTS: Kim Pedersen is a native of Saint Joseph, Michigan, where she attends Saint Joseph High school. Kim is the daughter of Rick and Erin Pedersen and is the sister of Grand Valley State University senior, Jenna Pedersen.
MY MUSIC: When Kim was only four years old, she became a fan of the infamous Christina Aguilera. From the moment she began to sing her lyrics in her home kitchen, Kim's mother knew that she had potential to create a musical career. Although Kim considers her written music to be much different from the music she is currently performing, she looks up the artists such as, MGMT, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Alanis Morrisette, and Rainy Milo, whose style is something she would like to incorporate into her own career. She considers her "musical hero" to be Tori Kelly, who inspired her to start playing the guitar. A majority of Kim's shows involve the performing and mastering of Tori Kelly's songs.
MIKE KOCH: When Kim become of age, she began to compete in singing competitions, placing in nearly every one. She began to collect cash prizes and later purchased her first guitar. It was shortly after that she met her first voice coach, Mike Koch.
